No Sew Cafe Curtains

No Sew Cafe Curtains

For the beach house kitchen window, we decided to go with a cafe curtain.  I love the easy, breezy look of a cafe curtain.   And, when I stumbled upon these Pottery Barn napkins on the clearance shelf, I thought they would be perfect for our “shades of blue” color scheme for this makeover.

The pattern is a a cross between a plaid and an ikat.  Love the modern play  on a traditional plaid.

So, all it took was these clip-on rings from Lowes and two of the four napkins.

The napkins measured 21″ square.  I didn’t do anything to them as the length worked fine just the way they were.

With the two remaining napkins, I sewed up some 20 inch pillow covers.

For the back side, I used simple canvas drop cloth with an envelope style closure.

We will be using these in the adjacent family room, along with a mix of other fabrics.

We are down to the details now so stay tuned for the reveal of the beach house kitchen makeover!
